Minuteman Founder Chris Simcox Suspected of Child Molestation

ABC 15 news in Phoenix is reporting that Chris Simcox, one of the founders of the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps in Arizona, has been arrested on suspicion of child molestation.

Simcox and his group, the Minutemen, received a lot of national publicity in the early-to-mid 2000's. The Minutemen were an activist group that patrolled the Arizona border. They promised to patrol the Mexican border if the US Government failed to devote enough resources to the job. He even challenged John McCain for the Republican Senate nomination in 2010.

Since that time, however, Simcox has had a number of legal troubles. And his group has been a magnet for some really nasty people, like former Minuteman activist and current Arizona death row inmate Shawna Forde.

This is a new story, and information is still trickling in.

One of the founders. No wonder his group was a magnet for some of those types of people. Like JT Ready as well. Presente.org had this to say about the Shawna Forde case:

"We hope her death wasn't in vain and that it serves as an example of
what can happen when the types of conditions that are in Arizona are
allowed to go unchecked and are legitimated as serious policy issues."

"Legitimized as serious policy issues". Indeed.
